I'm a CPA in Atlanta, GA. Here are my observations of the world around us. My Goal: Too much prejudice in this world - and not just racial. Religious and especially political prejudice is more prevalent and more harmful. The blogosphere has added to that and I want to subtract from it. Here's some of my life and the things I'm interested in. You can find more info in my Permanent File. Click on the Categories under Blog Index to the Right.

Disclaimer: The Amazon stuff on this blog gives you pictures of the books I read and discuss and an idea of what they cost. The fact that I will be compensated if you click on a link and buy the book turns these posts into semi-advertisements. I only link to Amazon.com for books that I actually liked.
I recommend that you check out books from your local library. If the library does not have them, use the inter-library loan program.

It is a good rule in life never to apologize. The right sort of people do not want apologies, and the wrong sort take a mean advantage of them.

A couple of science sites: Space.com and Science Headlines.
A couple of entertainment sites: Variety covers Hollywood while World History Blog covers, well, guess.
A couple of business sites: CFO.com for finance and Entrepreneur Mag for small biz.
Finally the National Geographic.
I'm lumping blog carnivals and books together here.
A "Carnival" is a summary of what's been going in in the blogosphere in a particular area. Usually a blog will submit a sample of their work to the Host. The host acts like an editor of a magazine and selects the best of what he's got for inclusion in his "carnival".
Books are self-explanatory.
